Research Triangle Park, N.C. - The Triangle Transit Authority (TTA) is seeking public input about proposed changes to its regional bus service.
“Throughout the year, TTA is constantly receiving feedback from riders and non-riders about what we can do to improve,” said TTA Transit Planner Patrick McDonough. “In the past few months, we have identified parts of routes that experience delays and are looking at how we can improve on-time performance.” Other improvements TTA is studying for its Fall 2004 schedule include later service in the evening on some routes, and schedule adjustments on other routes to shorten overall trip times.
The proposed changes would eliminate some trips on the following:
-
Shuttle 42 (Serving Northwest RTP including RTI and IBM)
-
Shuttle 43 (Serving RDU Airport, Factory Shops and Copley Drive)
-
Shuttle 46 (Serving NE RTP, Marriott/IBM/Presidential Drive)
-
Shuttle 747 (Serving RDU International Airport)
-
Saturday RTP service

The rail transit system is expected to be operational in late 2007 or early 2008. For more information, visit www.rideTTA.org or call (919) 549-9999.
