Research Triangle Park, N.C. - The Triangle Transit Authority (TTA) is holding a series of public sessions to help plan transit services for the next five years. The sessions are being held today and Wednesday in Apex, Chapel Hill and Hillsborough. Sessions were held in late October and early November in Carrboro and Garner.
“TTA is particularly interested in hearing about destinations that are important for riders and potential riders,” said Patrick McDonough, TTA Transit Planner. “We also want to know which improvements in bus service are most important, the hours of service buses should run and where stops should be located.” TTA has also been conducting on-board surveys of its riders, and researching population and employment trends in the Triangle for service on current and future routes.
At the upcoming sessions, TTA also will answer questions about the Regional Rail project, carpool and vanpool services and new electronic resources for transit information including the new trip planning website GoTriangle.org.
