Research Triangle Park, N.C. – Triangle Transit Authority (TTA) this week launched its new, redesigned Web site, www.rideTTA.org, with a user-friendly format and more detailed information on regional commuting options.
According to TTA’s General Manager, John Claflin, the Web site is yet another step that the agency is taking toward connecting the Triangle with an enhanced public transportation network. “The Web site is one more way that TTA is assessing and responding to the needs of the area.”
The site, designed by Cassell Design in Durham, North Carolina, features several updates, including, color-coded pages for each of the agency’s programs; Bus and Shuttle Service, Ride Sharing, Regional Rail and News and Events. There are updates on the regional rail transit project and information on how to sign up for car and van pools, as well as TTA bus and shuttle schedules. The site also provides information on TTA’s Emergency Ride Home and Rider Alert programs, as well as an easy to use customer feedback form.
Keith Cassell, president of Cassell Design expressed pride in his agency’s product. "Cassell Design is excited to be a part of TTA’s Web site redesign. Our goal was to provide visitors with a fun, useful, interesting and organized site that represents TTA 's personality and helps achieve its service-driven goals for their customers. We feel this site meets those goals” said Cassell.
TTA is a regional public transportation provider, offering a wide variety of transit and vanpool services to North Carolina's greater Triangle Region and outlying counties. Bus service is available to Apex, Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham, Garner, RDU International Airport, RTP and Raleigh. The Triangle Transit Authority also provides commuter resources and hosts GoTriangle.org, the popular on-line resource for public transportation information in the Triangle.
TTA plans to implement a 28-mile rail transit system with 12 stations connecting Durham, RTP, Cary and Raleigh, with shuttles linking RDU International Airport and RTP. The rail transit system is expected to be operational in 2008. For more information, visit www.rideTTA.org or call (919) 549-9999.
