Research Triangle Park, N.C. – TTA along with other transit providers will offer free rides to passengers on Friday, Sept. 21 to celebrate the kick off of the new "GoTriangle" family of transit providers. Triangle Transit will be offering the free service along with Capital Area Transit, (CAT), Cary Transit (C-Tran), Chapel Hill Transit, Durham Area Transit Authority (DATA) and the NC State Wolfline.
The new GoTriangle Seamless Transportation Service logo, which will be placed on all buses, represents the cooperative effort of the Triangle’s transit systems to make commuting throughout the region easier using public transportation.
The GoTriangle Transit Information Center at 485-RIDE provides information about the urban and university public transportation providers in the Triangle region.
The GoTriangle website provides information on ridesharing and other alternate modes of commuting throughout the Triangle region.
The GoTriangle Seamless Transportation Service provides safe, reliable, convenient and accessible transportation for the residents and visitors of the Triangle region. GoTriangle strives to relieve traffic congestion and promote cleaner air and economic development in the Triangle region.
TTA is a regional public transportation provider, offering a wide variety of transit and vanpool services to North Carolina's Triangle Region and outlying counties. Regional bus and shuttle service is available to Apex, Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham, Garner, Hillsborough, RDU International Airport, Research Triangle Park and Raleigh.
Triangle Transit also provides commuter resources and hosts www.rideTTA.org and www.GoTriangle.org, on-line resources for public transportation information in the Triangle.
